Virgin America uses animation for new safety video

How many times have you heard the airline safety instructions?  Most people have heard them so many times that they no longer pay attention.  Instead they daze out, make last minute text messages, and read their magazines.

Virgin America decided to change things up.  They produced an animated video for their safety instructions. The video is not only easy on the eyes, but it's also humorous.  Now that's a first in airline safety!

If you want to spice up a boring concept, or one that your audience has heard a million times, try animation + humor!  We'll help.  Contact Lilipip Studios.

The Power of Animation for Non-Profits - Just using text

We've noticed at our recent events that a lot of people do not know about the power and diversity of animation.  Animation can capture anything that video can not because it's computer-generated.  Using animation can make complex issues simple; it can inspire and resonate with viewers in a creative way that video does not allow; and, it can deliver messages that viewers have heard many times in a medium that is more subtle and powerful.

This video called "The Girl Effect" takes a subject that we hear about often, underprivledged children, and moves the viewer to action.  This is done with only text and music.

Tip #3: Call to Action

This is a very important tip – Leave the last frame on a call to action for a few seconds.

  • Don’t leave it on black background; do leave your website on the bottom, a phone number to call, and an e-mail where you can be contacted.

  • Don’t leave just an 800 number with an answering machine on it. Choose something where people can interact with you right away, like a Twitter account name, a Facebook page, or an e-mail.
